Screen veteran Karl Malden and rising young star Michael Douglas were teamed as plainclothes homicide detectives--one a wise 20-year veteran, the other an idealistic college educated rookie:in this popular police drama from the 1970's. Filmed entirely on location in San Francisco, the scenery was as much a part of the action as the players, and the car chases were a spectacle unto themselves.
