Robert Preston is irresistible as the silver-tongued con man that convinces the citizens of River City, Iowa to form a marching band. Shirley Jones stars as his love interest, with Ron Howard, Hermione Gingold and Buddy Hackett lending great support. The wonderful score includes Seventy-six Trombones, Till There Was You and the show-stopping Trouble, along with some sterling barbershop quartet.
